Microbus is an expanding and dynamic company that develops, manufactures, and markets turnkey technology solutions. Founded in 1983, Microbus began as an independent Swedish electronics company and has grown into a leading player within LED and electronic display technology.
Our team consists of engineers, technicians, project managers, sales professionals, and administrative staff. We are a skilled and dedicated group — but just as importantly, we enjoy working together.

Social Life at Microbus
We value teamwork both professionally and socially.
Each year, the company hosts a larger Christmas event, including travel and hotel accommodation. On special occasions, we have even arranged company trips to exciting destinations abroad.
Our offices also have their own traditions:
- In Malmö, we regularly organize after-work gatherings.
- In Gothenburg, table tennis tournaments are a tradition.
- In Varberg, dart competitions during lunch are part of office life.
MEG – Microbus Easter Games
Our CEO, Jan Niskala, introduced a unique annual tradition held around Easter: MEG – Microbus Easter Games.
On this special day, we come to work as usual — but the morning is dedicated to transforming the workshop into a gaming arena. Large LED screens are installed, gaming consoles are connected, and temporary lounge areas are created (sometimes with sofas borrowed from local flea markets — returned the next day).
Since 2012, it has been a tradition to play console games on large LED displays. Tournaments typically begin after lunch, across various consoles and PC games. Microbus provides pizza, snacks, beer, wine, and drinks.
In the evening, the Easter Games champion is crowned, winning both honor and a prize.
Microbus Company Events
When Microbus hosts an event, it is generous — with both food and drinks.
As our team has a relatively young average age and many employees without families, we have a tradition of organizing events primarily for staff members. Events vary from year to year. If it is a traditional Christmas dinner, we choose some of the best and most recognized restaurants in Malmö, Varberg, Gothenburg — and on one memorable occasion, even Reykjavík.
Travel & Adventures
Some years we arrange summer barbecue evenings; other years, traditional crayfish parties. We also organize activities such as frisbee golf, go-kart racing, and other fun events.
Microbus has partners in Norway, Denmark, Hungary, and China. Some of our technicians, sales staff, and purchasers visit these partners several times per year.
Our technicians and engineers also travel within Sweden. We handle installations and commissioning of products throughout the country — from Smygehuk in the south to Kiruna in the north.
On some occasions, employees choose to extend business trips with vacation days to explore the area further.
