In recent years, less experienced and short-term market entrants have appeared in the sector. For customers making significant investments, it is therefore essential to ensure that products contain the correct components required to deliver the intended performance — and that the supplier has a functioning service organization.
To support this, there are technical minimum requirement documents and lists of approved branded components that should be used — as well as blacklisted components that should be avoided.
In public procurements, customers should, for example, specify mandatory requirements regarding:
- LED brand
- Power supply brand
- Pixel pitch
- Connectors and core components
This ensures long-term reliability, performance, and serviceability.
System Development
Microbus operates its own development organization across three integrated divisions.
In Sweden, our engineers and technicians develop customer-focused products, including customized systems and tailored software solutions. Our Swedish team also develops hardware and firmware at the circuit-board level, ensuring full control over system architecture, performance, and reliability.
Many years ago, we relocated part of our LED display production to Hungary. Over time, we have built a strong and highly competent team of engineers and technicians there. In Hungary, we continue to refine and further develop our LED display technology and related embedded software. Our Hungarian engineers work in close collaboration with our Swedish development team, forming a unified and well-coordinated international engineering structure.
Video display systems are designed and final-assembled in Sweden. However, many of the components included in our products are developed and manufactured through our own office in Shenzhen, China. In China, we primarily produce LED module blocks for video displays. To ensure consistent quality control, we maintain our own local office with permanently employed staff on-site year-round.
Depending on the product type, we select one of our partner factories and rent dedicated production lines. This approach allows us to maintain full control over the manufacturing process while combining flexibility with efficient global production resources.
Our Swedish engineers and technical sales representatives regularly travel to China. Together with our local team, they contribute to the development of new product series, with a strong focus on adaptation to the Nordic market.
By combining development in Sweden, technical refinement in Hungary, and controlled component manufacturing in China, Microbus ensures high technical reliability, component-level quality assurance, long product lifecycles, competitive pricing, and full traceability with reliable service support.
